Bankers for CyberEducation

Recently, online fraudsters have become more and more willing to impersonate courier companies and send text messages with links to websites where an alleged surcharge for the shipment should be made, thus enabling them to extort funds from our bank accounts. Let's not be fooled! Jerzy Kryszak explains how to defend yourself.

The "Bankers for CyberEducation" campaign is a joint initiative of the Polish Bank Association, the Warsaw Banking Institute Foundation, the Bank Cybersecurity Center, banks and the Police.

“Fraudsters are becoming more and more creative. Remember, for PLN 500 you cannot buy something that is worth PLN 5,000. There are no such miracles. And if someone offers you such a transaction on the Internet and you have time to do it, for example only one day, be careful - you may soon fall victim to fraud! The thief is just waiting for this!” – warns Jerzy Kryszak.

Virtual space offers opportunities, but also threats. You should be reasonable at every step and know how to behave in cyberspace. Therefore, as part of the "Bankers for CyberEducation" campaign, a series of short films was created in which popular artists and TV presenters talk about how to consciously, responsibly and safely use the benefits of digital reality. The faces of this year's edition are Daria Widawska and Jerzy Kryszak.

The Polish Bank Association, the Warsaw Banking Institute Foundation, the Bank Cybersecurity Center, banks and the Police appeal:

Be vigilant.

  • Don't act on impulse! Consider!

  • Do not click on links sent via SMS.

  • Check with your bank for more information about cybersecurity.\
