Białowieża Forest under special protection

The Ministry of Climate announces a special act.

Work on the act is already underway. We will learn the provisions of the act in the coming weeks. The new act was tentatively called the constitution for the Białowieża Forest.

The Ministry of Climate provided UNESCO with a working version of the so-called an integrated management plan for the forest as a world heritage site - announced the Minister of Climate, Paulina Hennig-Kloska.

The so-called the constitution is to be an act that will comprehensively organize various issues related to forest management.

UNESCO is demanding an integrated management plan for the Białowieża Forest as a world heritage site from Poland, which requested it in its recommendations to Poland in 2018.

Every World Heritage site must have an integrated plan, but the Białowieża Forest does not have it so far.
