The debt of the fitness industry in Poland is constantly growing. The average entrepreneur in this industry now has a debt of nearly PLN 155,000. PLN Gyms are in the worst situation.

The latest data comes from the BIG InfoMonitor Debtors Register and the Credit Information Bureau database. Data show that the total debt of the fitness sector, which includes sports facilities and clubs as well as fitness centers, has increased since April 2020. At that time, the debt was PLN 64.6 million, and by the end of April 2024 it increased to PLN 88 million, which is an increase of 36%.
Compared to the previous year, the debt increased by PLN 17.4 million, or about 25%. The average debt of each entrepreneur in this industry is now almost PLN 155,000. zloty. The percentage of companies with unpaid payments in the sector remains at a level of 3.5 to 4%.
