Future Transport Week in the City of Science: 17-23/06

The 24th week of the European City of Science in Katowice is ongoing.


Future Transport Week is an attempt to share the passion for modern means of transport and to engage participants in interactive learning about the latest and future solutions in road, rail and air transport. The aim is also to encourage participants to delve into the world of science and research for the development of modern, ecological and safe transport.


Future Transport Week is also an occasion to share the passion for modern means of transport by scientists from the Silesian University of Technology and an opportunity to learn about solutions in road, rail and air transport. Events as part of the Future Transport Week will take place primarily at the Faculty of Transport and Aeronautical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology at ul. Krasiński in Katowice.


Participants of the Week's events have the opportunity to practice on railway and aviation simulators, get acquainted with 4WD mobile robots, and see aircraft and drone demonstrations. There are also discussions on the use of hydrogen in transport and modern safety systems used in various types of vehicles.
