In Jeziorany

The first episode of the radio novel "W Jezioranach" (in Jeziorany) was broadcast on the first channel of the Polish Radio on 29th of May 1960.

The script was written by Zofia Posmysz-Piasecka and Władysław Milczarek, and the director was Bronisław Dardziński. The cast of the first episode included Janusz Paluszkiewicz in the role of the village postman and the narrator of the novel, Kazimierz Opaliński in the role of the doyen of the Jabłoński family, as well as Maria Żabczyńska, Zygmunt Kęstowicz, Bogumił Kłodkowski, Hanna Stankówna, Maria Paluszkiewicz and the then fourteen-year-old Piotr Fronczewski


In Jeziorany - a cyclical radio play broadcast since 1960 by the first program of Polish Radio. The weekly program prepared by the Polish Radio Theater tells the story of the multi-generational Jabłoński family living in the fictional village of Jeziorany near Puławy, as well as their social environment: farmers, village doctors, teachers and firefighters.
