Konin - 10th Anniversary Run of Uniformed Services in Rzgów

"Uniformed Services Run" in Rzgów. The event is becoming more and more popular every year, and although it was extremely hot outside, it did not discourage participants from taking part in the race. This year, almost 150 people started.

The "Uniformed Services Run" was created from the idea of ​​the Deputy Head of the Prevention Department, Senior Commissioner Wiktor Nawrocki, who is also a councilor of the Rzgów Commune. He also runs and takes part in various competitions. Thanks to good cooperation with the mayor of Rzgów, the event has been connected with the celebration of "Rzgów Commune Days" for some time now, which attracts crowds of residents, families and friends of the race participants.


Nearly 150 competitors representing the police, army, fire brigade (professional and volunteer), border guard, prison service and soldiers of the American and Czech armies stationed in Powidz lined up at the start. Each service had its own classification.


The 1st Deputy Provincial Commander of the Police in Poznań, Insp., who was present at the ceremony. Sławomir Piekut, on behalf of the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Interior and Administration and Member of Parliament of the Republic of Poland Wiesław Szczepański, presented cups in the category for "Best Wielkopolska Woman" and "Best Wielkopolska Resident" and on behalf of the Provincial Police Commander in Poznań, cups for police officers in the category "Best Police Officer".


Before the ceremonial announcement of the results and the presentation of cups, the 1st Deputy Provincial Police Commander in Poznań, Inspector Sławomir Piekut, and the Mayor of the Rzgów Commune, Grzegorz Matuszak, took the floor on stage.


In his speech, the 1st Deputy Provincial Police Commander in Poznań, Inspector Sławomir Piekut, thanked the organizers and originators on behalf of the Deputy Minister of Interior and Administration Wiesław Szczepański for the idea of ​​creating a race that unites so many uniformed services.


He emphasized the role of integrating different services in one event. He pointed out that such competitions are needed and show the positive relationship between the individual services that has been developed over the years, thanks to which, in the case of joint actions, assistance is provided quickly and professionally.


The Mayor of the Rzgów Commune, Grzegorz Matuszak, in his speech indicated that the race has currently taken on not only a local but also an international character due to the participation of Czech and American soldiers stationed in the territory of the Republic of Poland, in Powidz.


In the general qualification, the winner was Patryk Ciężkowski from KM PSP in Toruń. It took him 36 minutes and 8 seconds to complete the route. Among the women, the fastest was Żaneta Kowalczyk from the 1st Air Cavalry Battalion with a time of 42:23. In addition to cups and awards, both also won the titles of "Wielkopolska Champion".


In the category "Best Police Officer" the podium places were taken by:


- 1st place Aron Przybył - KWP Poznań


- 2nd place Michał Kacprowicz - KP Poznań Stare Miasto


- 3rd place Kamil Konieczny - KPP Gostyń


The competitors praised the organizers for the level of preparation of the race. Many of them have already declared their participation in the event next year.
