Let`s get to know the culinary traditions of Poland

Polish Culinary Traditions is a free e-book presenting Polish cuisine from the times of the ancient Slavs to the present day. It is also a story about culinary culture, the importance of holiday cuisine and its role in home rituals. The book is enriched with anecdotes, legends, stories and references to literature and art. There is room for Sarmatian and regional cuisine. The whole is complemented by a chapter on culinary tourism and 19 simple recipes for lesser-known dishes from different parts of Poland.



The author of the book is Dr. Magdalena Tomaszewska-Bolałek - a researcher of culinary culture, head of Food Studies at SWPS University. Winner of culinary awards, including many Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, Prix de la Littérature Gastronomique, Diamond Cuisine Award and Magellan Awards. She deals with the history and anthropology of food, as well as tourism and culinary diplomacy. She promoted Polish cuisine in Europe and Asia.
