Our doubles foursome fought a fantastic battle for the silver medal with the Italians. Both crews swam very evenly, and at the finish line the Italians had a slight advantage: the Poles achieved a time of 05:44.59, and the Italians - 05:44.40. The Dutch won confidently (05:42.00).

This is the hardest-fought medal of all that we have. Thank you all for supporting us. We are very happy - said Dominik Czaja in an interview with Beata Oryl-Stroińska from TVP Sport.

I thought that we already had these Italians, that we would beat them and have silver, but they repelled our attack. Despite this, we are very happy - added Mateusz Biskup.

After 1000 meters I turned my head and saw that we were in 2nd or 3rd place. That's when we took action. I would also like to point out that representing Poland at the games is a double honor, because we are both athletes and soldiers of the Polish Army - emphasized Mirosław Ziętarski.

The morning looked like before every start: we ate breakfast and went for a walk. We knew what we were capable of and what we wanted to achieve - concluded Fabian Barański.
