The Lubuskie Cyclists Association, based in Świebodzin, received a positive response to its non-competitive offer submitted to the Department of Social Infrastructure of the Marshal's Office. The task entitled "Mountain bike marathon sports competition" was recommended for funding in the amount of PLN 6,500 by the Lubuskie Province Board.
MTB Łagów 2024
The 16th edition of the MTB Łagów 2024 mountain bike marathon will be held as part of this task. The competition will take place in the picturesque Łagów Landscape Park and will gather about 200 competitors from the following counties: Świebodzin, Krosno, Zielona Góra, Międzyrzecz and Sulęcin. The event attracts both amateurs and experienced mountain bikers, offering exciting competition in beautiful scenery.
Conditions and purpose of the Task
The submitted task met all the conditions specified in art. 19a of the Act of 24 April 2003 on Public Benefit Activities and Volunteering. The aim of the undertaking is not only to promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle, but also to integrate the local community and promote the region through sports.
Financial support
The Lubuskie Province Board has positively considered the offer and decided to grant a subsidy of PLN 6,500. These funds will be allocated to the organisation of the competition, which will enable the provision of appropriate technical support, prizes and promotion of the event.
Significance of the event
The mountain bike marathon in the Łagów Landscape Park is an important sports event in the region, which attracts numerous participants and fans every year. Thanks to the support of the provincial government, it is possible to further develop this initiative and raise its standard, which in turn promotes the tourism promotion of the Lubuskie Province.
The subsidy for the competition by the Lubuskie Province Board emphasises the importance of sports and active recreation in the region, and also supports local initiatives that contribute to the development of the community and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
