New collector's coin

The National Bank of Poland (NBP) commemorates a quarter of a century of Poland in NATO

The National Bank of Poland introduced a new coin "The 25th anniversary of Poland's accession to NATO”. However, introduction into circulation does not mean that it is a circulation coin. This is a collector's coin that no one will pay for in a store, although theoretically they could.

The coin is made of Ag 925 silver, has a diameter of 32 millimeters and a weight of 14.14 grams. Its face value is PLN 10.

The mintage is 10,000 pieces and can be purchased at all NBP branches. However, it costs PLN 200, which is 20 times more than its nominal price.

The reverse of the coin features the silhouettes of five Polish Army soldiers representing modern military formations that are part of NATO and the NATO symbol.

The obverse shows the composition of the weapons used by the Polish Army: the Krab self-propelled howitzer, the M142 HIMARS rocket launcher and the M1A1 Abrams tank.
