Poisoned hamburgers

The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate informs. Chicken burgers with salmonella. Below are the product details as indicated by GIS.

Producer ANIMEX FOODS Sp. z o. o. informed about the risk analysis, including confirmation that the production process of the batch of the product in question was carried out in accordance with established procedures under controlled conditions, as well as swabs from the production environment on the day of production of the batch in question and tests of the raw material from which this batch was produced did not show the presence of Salmonella. Moreover, taking into account the fact that the sole recipient of this batch immediately implemented the procedure of withdrawing the product in question from the market, the manufacturer considered these activities to be sufficient to close the case.


The District Veterinary Officer in Opole conducted an investigation into the case.


GIS warns that if you experience symptoms of food poisoning after eating the mentioned hamburger, you should contact your doctor. The first symptoms of the disease appear 6 hours to 3-7 days after consumption and may occur· stomach pain,· fever,· diarrhea,· dehydration,· nausea,· vomiting.
