Polish food conquers the world!


In 2023, Polish entrepreneurs sold abroad agri-food products worth EUR 51.8 billion. That's a astonishing record.

This translates into PLN 236 billion. The largest income came from the export of meat and meat products. There was the exports increase of 8.1% compared to the previous year.

Henryk Smolarz, director general of the National Center for Agricultural Support, admitted 2023 as another successful year in the export of Polish food. He emphasized the price competitiveness and quality of Polish products. In addition, he also noted that reducing the negative impact of factors such as the costs of importing supplies, transport, energy and fuels contributed to the increase in exports.


The European Union countries continued to be Poland's main trading partner, with the purchase over 73% of exported food products. The value of food goods sold to the EU amounted to EUR 38 billion, which is an increase of 7%.


Germany was the largest recipient of Polish food, where the sales value increased by 11%, reaching EUR 13.3 billion. In addition to Germany, important importers were the Netherlands (EUR 3.2 billion) followed by France (EUR 3.0 billion), Italy (EUR 2.5 billion) and the Czech Republic (EUR 2.4 billion).
