During the ceremony at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beijing, President Andrzej Duda awarded people who made contributions to the development of bilateral cooperation. The meeting was attended by the President's Wife, Agata Kornhauser-Duda.

It is very important for me to be able to emphasize the importance of building Polish-Chinese relations. I wholeheartedly thank all the awardees for this, emphasized Andrzej Duda, thanking those who contribute to building these relationships.
The president mentioned his visit to China in 2015. He added that it was not by accident that this was one of his first visits abroad. – It was then that we signed an agreement on Poland's accession to the Belt and Road concept. And I have established – I can confidently say – friendly relations with President Xi Jinping, he said.
– Our meeting resulted in the official visit of the Chairman of China to Poland a year later – he recalled. He also mentioned his visit to Beijing during the opening of the 24th Winter Olympic Games.
I am glad that we have been calmly and consistently building Polish-Chinese relations all these years, he emphasized.
