Rail for CPK

The government is introducing changes to the railway station at the Central Communication Port. The project was initiated by a group of Law and Justice MPs, represented by Marcin Horała, former Government Plenipotentiary for CPK.

The railway station under the airport will have four platforms, not six, as previously planned. The station's cubic capacity will remain unchanged. The planned infrastructure will be sufficient to handle all the projected rail traffic in all directions through CPK.

According to the plan, the Łódź-Warsaw section of the HSR is to be ready in 2032, and further sections between Łódź, Sieradz, Poznań and Wrocław by 2035. At the same time, work is underway on the project to build the Łętownia-Rzeszów route and Katowice-state border-Ostrava (Czech Republic).

Railway investments within the HSR have been estimated at PLN 78 billion, and the mega-airport in the Baranów commune is to cost PLN 43 billion.
