The 6th Intergenerational Children's Literature Festival - Fathers and Children took place

This year's edition of the Intergenerational Children's Literature Festival - Fathers and Children began on May 22. The festival will be held on various dates in a total of six Polish cities. The first part of the event, lasting from May 22 to 26, took place in Warsaw.

The inauguration of this year's festival took place at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The place was not chosen randomly. According to the organizers, this time they want to introduce young readers to two seemingly mutually exclusive worlds: literature and finance. All this in the spirit of the novel "The Adventures of Enterprising Jack" by Janusz Korczak, which became the topic of one of the festival events.

More than twenty authors will take part in the Warsaw version of the festival, including: Grzegorz Kasdepke, Tomasz Samojlik, Agata Romaniuk, Katarzyna Walentynowicz, Berenika Kołomycka, Barbara Sadurska, Nikola Kucharska, as well as guests from abroad: Majda Koren and Damijan Stepančič from Slovenia and Øyvind Torseter from Norway.

Subsequent editions of the festival will take place in the following cities and dates:

  • Wrocław – June 14-16

  • Gdynia – July 19-21

  • Sopot – July 26-28

  • Katowice – August 23-25

  • Lublin – September 12-15

The festival is organized by the Czas Dzieci Foundation. All festival events are free, but registration is required. Registration is available HERE.
