The chances of getting a loan of 0% are decreasing

Frictions in the coalition over the new proposal for borrowers

Finance Minister Andrzej Domański, in an interview for Radio Zet, warned that the chances of implementing the 0% loan project decrease dramatically if the Poland 2050 party does not support it. Nevertheless, work on the project is still ongoing. "If Szymon Hołownia states that his party will not support a 0% loan, the chances of implementing this project decrease dramatically," Domański said.

The minister added that the 0% loan is a project of the Ministry of Development, which is still being worked on. He also emphasized the need to develop systemic solutions that will allow for an increase in the number of apartments in Poland, which has a direct impact on their prices.

Poland 2050 against credit 0%

Szymon Hołownia, leader of Poland 2050, announced that his party would not support a 0% loan and would vote for support for social housing construction. His statement calls into question the future of the project.

"#naStart" project - housing loan with preferential interest rate

The draft bill on the "#naStart" housing loan was published in April this year on the website of the Government Legislation Center. Its aim is to support the purchase of the first apartment. The program assumes that individuals and families whose monthly income is within the limits specified by the ministry can receive a loan with a preferential interest rate.

The assumptions presented by the Ministry of Development and Technology show that the income limits for households are to be:

10 thousand PLN gross for single,

18 thousand PLN gross for double,

23 thousand PLN gross for three-person,

28 thousand PLN gross for four-person,

33 thousand PLN gross for five-person.

"The new #naStart housing loan will replace the safe 2% loan and the family housing loan, combining financial support in the form of installment subsidies," explains the Ministry of Development and Technology on its website. The project is currently in the phase of inter-ministerial arrangements and public consultations.

The future of the Program

The current situation indicates that the future of the 0% loan project is uncertain without the support of the Poland 2050 party. Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański and experts from the Ministry of Development and Technology continue to work on the project, hoping to reach a compromise and effectively implement the program that aims to support Polish families in purchasing their first apartment.
