The Main Directorate for National Roads and Motorways has signed a contract for the construction of another section of the S12 road, the completion of which will take over 3.5 years. It concerns the section between Przysucha and Wieniawa.

The new route, according to the plan, is to relieve the heavily congested national road DK12, which runs through numerous villages and towns. On the section between Piotrków Trybunalski and Radom, the average daily traffic ranges from approximately 10,000 vehicles near Radom to approximately 25,000 in the area of Piotrków Trybunalski.
The new section will be less than 15 km long. Ultimately, the road of which the section being built will be a part will connect the A1 motorway with the eastern border of Poland.
