The first section of the route, 4.0 km long, was launched on August 29, 2015. The SST route runs along its entire length without any collisions with the existing and planned road system. The route starts at the site of the Górniczy Basin interchange, which has existed since the seventies. From there, the tracks lead in a gentle curve to the bridge over the Regalica River, and then - downhill - to the Hangarowa stop. Between the Hangarowa and Turkusowa stops, the line runs in a lined excavation for 0.8 km, in which the Jaśminowa ZUS stop is located.

A little further on, the tram line passes through a culvert under railway line no. 351, behind which is the Turkusowa loop, which is the last stop of the first stage. Then, the tram route will run on the southern side of railway line no. 417, separating the tram from the Słoneczne housing estate. The second stage ends at the Kijewo loop, located behind Dąbska Street, near the housing estate on Rudzianka.
