The police have new analyzers…

Lecturers from the police school in Słupsk learned how to use and operate newly purchased mobile analyzers for the initial detection of substances that act similarly to alcohol. The acquired experience will be transferred to police training participants.

The Police equipment is now equipped with sets of portable analyzers for the initial detection of substances with an alcohol-like effect in the saliva of test persons. The test is performed using a disposable, sterile small cassette, the tip of which must be placed under the tongue by the examined person for a period of one to three minutes until the tip it will become saturated with saliva. After this time, the cassette is placed in a special reader located in the portable analyzer.

If the test was carried out correctly, an appropriate message appears on the display and an instruction for the checking police officer to enter the data of the examined person. The obtained result is displayed and saved in the device, and can also be printed on a small, portable printer included in the set.

The newly purchased devices will go not only to line units, but also to police schools. Thanks to this, new officers starting their independent service will be prepared to operate and conduct research using these analyzers.
