The President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, said farewell to Jacek Zieliński, the co-founder of Skaldowie

Jacek Zieliński was buried in the Avenue of Merit at the Rakowicki Cemetery. The celebrations were preceded by a holy mass in the church on Skałka. During the funeral mass, the deceased leader's friends played three songs: Jutro odnajdę ciebie", "W żółtych płomieniach liści" and "20 minut po północy".

The president who appeared in person at the ceremony together with his wife. Andrzej Duda has awarded posthumously the Skaldowie singer with the Order of Polonia Restituta for outstanding contributions to culture.


– We say goodbye to a man who belongs to a small group of creators of Polish rock. The Skaldowie are a team in which everyone worked together. It is often difficult to tell what was whose. The frontman was Mr. Jacek. It's not just rock music, it's paving the way for others, said the president. How many young lovers hummed "Everything tells me someone loves me" while going to a meeting


– I awarded this high distinction to Mr. Jacek for the extraordinary music he created, but also for who he was privately – emphasized President Andrzej Duda.
