The Polish leader recalled that he held talks with President Xi Jinping, during which he conveyed the Polish position on security in our part of Europe.

I discussed the security situation in detail, I conveyed it to the President, primarily in the format of a face-to-face conversation, what is our position and what are our experiences related to Russian aggression against Ukraine and the hybrid attack by Belarus on the Polish border, he said.

Andrzej Duda pointed out that in the context of bilateral cooperation with China and the implementation of the Belt and Road idea, hybrid attacks carried out by Belarus on the Polish border strongly affect the possibility of trade exchange and disturb the idea of cooperation.

We also talked about our economic cooperation and the increase in Chinese investments in Poland. We are thinking primarily about investments related to modern technologies, emphasized the President. He pointed out that "agreements have been signed regarding cooperation in the field of technology and investment, as well as opening the Chinese market to Polish agricultural products." The Polish leader emphasized that the most important agreement is the so-called regionalization in relation to the sale of poultry and meat, because Poland is one of the leading European countries when it comes to poultry production. – So far, only three countries in the world have obtained regionalization from China, we will be the fourth country. I am glad because it will significantly change our situation, said Andrzej Duda. He added that regionalization will allow for solving the issues, among others: in relation to highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) and will enable free export of Polish poultry.

Summarizing his visit to China, Andrzej Duda said that during the talks, "President Xi Jinping presented a unilateral declaration on visa-free travel for Poles to China for a period of up to 15 days." He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China announced that visa-free travel will be in force from July 1, 2024.

I am very happy, because for me every visa-free regime is a sign of freedom, trust and good relations between countries. This is conducive to building interpersonal bonds, as well as tourism, the President pointed out.

During his visit to China, the President took part in the summer World Economic Forum in Dalian and the Polish-Chinese Economic Forum in Shanghai. – The most important goal is to reduce the trade deficit with China – said Andrzej Duda. Currently, imports from China exceed our exports to this country by as much as sixteen times. – I would like it to be partially equalized – said the President, pointing out that this disproportion results mainly from differences in the structure of our economies. During the visit, the Presidential Couple was accompanied by the Head of the KPRP Małgorzata Paprocka, the Head of BPM Mieszko Pawlak and Advisors: Rafał Kos and Wojciech Gerwel.
