The programme full of attractions includes fascinating creative workshops, concerts, outdoor court games, thematic walks, cinema screenings and discussions on important topics. The entire event will culminate with the Great Warsaw Dance Party, which will unite generations to the rhythm of timeless music. This year, the event has a special mission: supporting the mental health of children and young people, and a collection will be held on site for Martyna Wojciechowska's UNAWEZA Foundation and the "YOUNG HEADS" project. “Opening up about mental health” thanks to which we will all do something good together! Admission to the Picnic is free. None of you can miss it!

We will traditionally start at 11.15 sharp. This is the symbolic hour at which the hands of the castle clock stopped during the German artillery fire on 17 September 1939. After playing the Warsaw bugle call, the director of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Prof. Wojciech Fałkowski, will welcome those gathered under the main stage. And then the fun begins and will last until midnight!

During the workshops at the Creative Atelier, you will be able to try your hand at unusual artistic techniques: ebru (traditional Turkish art of transferring patterns painted with a brush on the surface of water onto paper), calligraphy, collage or jewelry floristry. The upcycling workshop inspired by the art of Władysław Hasior will allow you to better understand the relationship between creativity and care for the natural environment.

A special play area awaits the youngest - the Royal Zone of Little Explorers, where you will be able to impersonate a royal painter or gardener, as well as learn about games and entertainment that were popular at courts centuries ago.

During the Picnic you will also be able to visit the Castle for a special price. Guests can enjoy the Royal Route and its dazzling interiors, the Gallery of Masterpieces (where contact with the works of Rembrandt and other artists will be enriched by special recordings prepared in accordance with the idea of "slow looking" - careful communion with art) and Prince Józef Poniatowski's apartment in the Copper-Roof Palace. There will also be a temporary exhibition "Hasior. “Persistence of Experience”, presenting the work of one of the most important Polish artists of the 20th century. Admission to each of these places will cost only PLN 20.

The partner of the Royal Picnic is the UNAWEZA Foundation of Martyna Wojciechowska, implementing the project "YOUNG HEADS. Opening up about mental health", the aim of which is education and prevention. The foundation's experts will be available at their stand and will be happy to answer any questions about this important topic. There will also be a fundraiser to support the mental health of young heads. Everyone will be able to contribute to the great good with at least a symbolic złoty.

In the early afternoon, there will be a talk on the garden stage entitled: "How can art support the mental health of YOUNG HEADS?" with the participation of journalist, traveller and founder of the UNAWEZA Foundation Martyna Wojciechowska and Joanna Flis - psychologist and expert of the YOUNG HEADS project. The meeting will be led by Krzysztof Skórzyński.

Another conversation on the garden stage will be devoted to court cuisine, including recipes by Paul Tremo, the court chef of King Stanisław August, as well as the rules of table manners in the past and today. Participants will include the famous restaurateur and media personality Agnieszka Kręglicka and Adam Jarczyński, co-founder of the Polish Academy of Protocol and Etiquette, and the moderator will be Dominika Zagrodzka from the Kukbuk.pl website.

And if culinary topics make you hungry or you simply get hungry - the Court Flavors Zone awaits you, where various specialties will be served throughout the day. A moment of respite, in turn, can be found in the chillout zone amidst the quiet and soothing greenery of the plant labyrinths of the royal garden.

The Picnic will culminate in a dance party unlike any Warsaw has ever seen! The grassy indentation in the centre of the Royal Gardens will be filled with dancing couples from all generations, and timeless retro music will flow from the speakers, inspired by sounds from both pre-war Warsaw and New Orleans during the time of Louis Armstrong. During the Great Warsaw Dance Party, prepared in cooperation with Café Pląs, the Mała Orkiestra Dancingowa, Brass Federacja, and the Soul Service DJ collective will play for you.
