A new phase of construction of a tunnel that will pass under the center of Łódź is starting. There will be two tunnels, both leading to the Łódź Fabryczna station.
The new HSR line will be designed for trains reaching speeds of up to 250 km/h, with the possibility of increasing it to 300 km/h. Although in China HSR trains reach speeds of up to 400 km/h, the European standard, adopted in France, Italy and Germany, is 300-320 km/h.It is planned to connect four cities - Warsaw, Łódź, Wrocław and Poznań - with a high-speed train in the shape of the letter Y.
