UNESCO League of Polish Cities and Sites

On June 26, 2004, at the 2nd Forum of Polish Cities and UNESCO Sites, some Polish local governments and institutions caring for or related to Sites inscribed on the World Heritage List, established the League of Polish Cities and UNESCO Sites. It was intended to serve cooperation, better promotion of facilities, promotion of cultural activities and support for tourism.

League of Polish Cities and UNESCO Sites - an organization established in Zamość associating some institutions and local governments in Poland related to places included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. The seat of the League is Toruń.


History


Poland is one of the first signatory countries of the World Heritage Convention. As of July 2022, 17 places in Poland have been included on the World Heritage List.
