Urszula Honek nominated for the International Booker Prize 2024

A long list of nominations for this year "International Booker Prize" has been announced, which remains the most prestigious distinction awarded to the authors of the best English language books. The nomination list included Urszula Honek`collection of short stories "White Nights" translated by Kate Webster.

The International Booker Prize is awarded annually to the best book translated into English. Since 2016, the distinction has been awarded for a particular book; previously, every two years, it was awarded to writers for their lifetime achievement. The prize is shared between the author and the translator.


This year` shortlist of six books will be announced on April 9, and the winners will be announced on May 21.
