LOT wants to take over the Czech Smartwings airline.
This is a charter airline that flies from Prague, but also operates in Poland and Hungary. The airline was to be taken over by Israel, but the deal fell through when the Middle East was in turmoil after the Hamas terrorist attack. Now the Czechs have offered themselves once again.
