Zielona Góra: The Center of Electromobility in Poland

The conference participants agreed that Zielona Góra has great potential in the development of technology. Prof. Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska, Vice-Rector of the University of Zielona Góra, emphasized the role of cooperation between science and enterprises in creating innovation. - The implementation of joint projects with the support of the provincial authorities allows us to create new technologies - said Prof. Patalas-Maliszewska.

– emphasized Marshal Marcin Jabłoński at the opening of the international ChairIN Conference in Zielona Góra-Nowy Kisielin.

 

The ChairIN Conference, organized on June 4, 2024 in Zielona Góra-Nowy Kisielin, began a several-day meeting on the subject of electromobility.

 

Innovations and support for the region

 

Representatives of industries related to electromobility from all over the world came to the headquarters of the E-Mobility Innovation HUB technology incubator in Zielona Góra-Nowy Kisielin. Among them were specialists from the public transport sector, local government officials and journalists. Marshal of the Lubuskie Voivodeship Marcin Jabłoński emphasized the importance of innovation for the region. – I warmly welcome you to the region, which is extremely open and interested in new technologies. Everything related to the development of technology, respect for the environment, and nature protection, we put on the highest step of the podium when it comes to the hierarchy of values ​​in the region – said the Marshal.

 

Let's protect the environment by focusing on technology

 

The Lubuskie Voivode Marek Cebula drew attention to the importance of environmental protection in the context of the development of modern technologies. - I hope that it is going in such a direction that we will have a place to stay, i.e. on Earth. We have nothing else but planet Earth, so either we take care of it and expand in terms of new technologies, or our Earth will simply run out - said the voivode.

 

Zielona Góra the capital of electromobility

 

Maciej Wojeński, co-founder of Ekoenergetyka Polska SA, explained the purpose of the conference: - I hope that Zielona Góra will be the capital of electromobility in Europe for a few days. The mission of our conference is to invite the most valuable customers and partners. We want to bring closer the heart of our industry and show that we have top-class products and services.

 

Business, education and promotion in one, i.e. the European Electromobility Center

 

The next element of the conference was a panel discussion on the European Electromobility Center moderated by Krzysztof Burda, president of the Polish Chamber of Electromobility Development. Bartosz Kubik, president and co-founder of Ekoenergetyka Polska SA, presented the idea of ​​the European Electromobility Centre. – This is an institution where we are to gather knowledge and share this knowledge with all European business. We will focus on three pillars: economic, educational and promotional – said Kubik.

 

Electromobility must become more accessible

 

Marshal Marcin Jabłoński noted that electromobility in Poland must become more accessible.

– We still have some catching up to do in Poland when it comes to progress in the area of ​​electromobility. We will keep our fingers crossed that you develop technology and have a positive impact on social changes

– said the marshal.

 

Lubuskie Voivode Marek Cebula emphasised the potential of the market for modern technologies in Poland and drew attention to the need for their availability. – This is over EUR 60 billion, of which over 45% will be allocated to issues related to energy transformations. They can make an energy revolution happen in Poland – said Cebula.

 

Zielona Góra and Poland have a chance for a technological leap

Prof. Wojciech Myślecki, chairman of the supervisory board of Ekoenergetyka Polska SA, noted that Zielona Góra can become a place combining regional policy with the development of technology. Zbigniew Jagiełło, member of the supervisory board of Ekoenergetyka Polska SA, emphasized the need to support local authorities in achieving good economic results.

 

The ChairIN conference is part of a several-day meeting in Zielona Góra-Nowy Kisielin, which will last until 7th of June 2024. It will also include workshops on various aspects of electromobility and device tests.
